Now it is even easier for Synchronoss Personal Cloud users to restore content that it accidentally deleted, corrupted or lost.
The new BackTrack automatically creates snapshots of digital content stored in a subscriber’s personal cloud, such as photos, videos, and other digital files. It is now available and being pushed to subscribers of AT&T, Verizon, and BT in the UK, as well as other global service providers.
Here is how it works…
Offering an added layer of file protection, BackTrack retains old versions of backups for 30 days. It creates snapshots of backups that can be easily restored from a specific day within the 30-day window. Simply point and click and BackTrack brings files back to life.
Providing more control…
Whether you believe in Murphy’s law or not, stuff happens. Maybe you inadvertently deleted a file or folder. Or possibly been impacted by a cybersecurity threat such as a virus, ransomware or malware that takes control of your files.
When files are accidentally deleted, corrupted, or lost, BackTrack is the answer. It provides the capability to revert back and restore files that have been compromised in any way.
BackTrack is one of several enhancements introduced this year, delivering more functionality to Synchronoss Personal Cloud subscribers. Last month, the new Genius feature added artificial intelligence models and machine learning to optimize, enhance, and share photos.
“As more and more digital content is created and stored in the cloud each day, we are constantly finding new and innovative ways to ensure data is protected and easily managed across devices,” said Jeff Miller, President and CEO of Synchronoss. “BackTrack and Genius are key milestones in the evolution of our Synchronoss Personal Cloud platform. We look forward to rolling these out across our global service provider partners.”
