Along with the global community, our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine, as the situation continues to escalate. For some, the devastation and heartbreak may seem like it is a world away, but for many, the war is far more personal, more tangible – including those with roots and family and friends in Eastern Europe.
 
Recent days in Ukraine have reminded us of the tragic impact war has on the civilian population. While I cannot imagine what the people of Ukraine are going through, I am awed by their bravery and heroism as ordinary citizens continue to band together fighting for their country and freedom.

Closer to home, we too can come together to show support and concern. From reaching out with words of encouragement to friends and colleagues with personal ties to the region, to posting your support on social media platforms, or donating to a charitable organization helping those in need, we can stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
