Inside the Sync Cares Program
The Sync Cares program is all about employee choice, building and strengthening communities, and volunteering in meaningful ways. Now in its second year, Sync Cares promotes community engagement and philanthropy among our employees worldwide, giving team members the flexibility to use up to 24 hours of paid “Cares Time” to volunteer in support of the causes and communities most important to them. The program affords employees flexibility in when, how and where they volunteer. Employees can use to use their Cares Time to volunteer with colleagues in one or more of our Synchronoss team projects and employees can take paid time off to volunteer at their discretion, often opting to volunteer with friends and family members. To highlight employees’ spirit of giving, we publish “Profiles in Volunteering,” an employee newsletter dedicated to showcasing the philanthropic achievements of our employees and the impact of their service.

Sync Cares, Volunteers at Work
At Synchronoss, the month of May has been affectionately dubbed, Sync Cares Month, with employee Sync Cares Champions around the globe coordinating local team volunteer projects bringing colleagues together to give back, make a difference … and have some fun!
This year alone, employees in Dublin, Bangalore, London, Tokyo, Bridgewater, Phoenix, San Jose, Denver, and Melbourne collaborated with local organizations, volunteering more than 500 hours collectively. Our volunteers picked-up rakes and rolled up their sleeves to assist with community beautification projects, packaged meals to support those in need, mentored children, helped the disabled community, embraced recycling projects, made blankets for hospitalized children, laced-up their sneakers for charity runs, served on a non-profit boards, and more, earning Synchronoss a nomination for Corporate Citizen of the Year from NJBIZ– for the second consecutive year!

Sync Cares is an ongoing commitment at Synchronoss, supporting employees as they give of themselves to enhance local communities, worldwide.
